Partner programme terms

1. The programme

The Map My Life partner programme (Alexandre Inukai, sole trader) is open to any adult or organisation that creates an account with their e-mail address. The partner gets a code and a link to share; orders made with that code earn them a commission.

2. The code and the link

The code is typed in the mapmylife.fr basket, or placed there by itself for 7 days after a visit through the partner’s link (the last link followed wins). One code per order: a partner code does not combine with another promo code, but does with a gift card. It does not apply to buying a gift card, nor to the free PDF.

The code can be changed until a sale has been made with it, then it is fixed. Map My Life may refuse a misleading code or one that uses a brand.

3. The pot and how it is shared

Each order made with the code opens a pot, as a percentage of the posters’ catalogue price including VAT: 15% to start with. The partner shares it as they like between their buyers’ discount and their own commission, in whole points (at first 10% for the buyer, 5% for them). A new split applies to the orders that follow.

The pot grows with acquired sales, level by level; the points gained go to the partner, who may hand them on to their buyers:

Start (0 sale) : 15% pot

1 km (1 sale) : 17% pot

5 km (5 sales) : 18% pot

10 km (10 sales) : A free 30 × 40 print

Half marathon (21 sales) : A free framed 30 × 40 poster

Marathon (42 sales) : 20% pot

100 km (100 sales) : 22% pot and your place on the “Our partners” page

A level reached stays reached. A free poster comes as a single-use code, valid one year, worth the poster; it earns no commission and does not count as a sale.

4. When a commission is acquired

A sale shows as “pending” as soon as it is paid. It becomes “acquired” 14 days after the parcel ships. An order refunded or cancelled before then cancels the commission (in part when only part is refunded).

An order made from the partner’s own e-mail address keeps the buyer’s discount but earns no commission and does not count towards the levels.

5. The transfer

From 3 acquired, unpaid sales, the partner can ask for a bank transfer of what they earned, to the IBAN entered in their space. Map My Life makes it by hand, usually within 7 days. There is no other payment method.

The partner declares their commissions themselves wherever the law requires.

6. What the partner sees

The partner sees the visits of their link and, for each order, the date, the posters, the amount and its state. They never receive the buyer’s name, address or e-mail.

Map My Life keeps the partner’s e-mail address, display name, IBAN and sales history for as long as the programme runs, then as long as accounting rules require. The partner may ask to close their account and erase what can be erased by writing to contact@mapmylife.fr.

7. Fraud and ending

Forbidden: spam, paid ads on the Map My Life brand, promo-code sites, fake orders. Map My Life may suspend an account: its code stops working, what is pending is cancelled, what is acquired is still owed, except for fraud, in which case everything not yet paid is cancelled.

Map My Life may change these terms by telling partners by e-mail; a pot or a level already reached does not go down.
